Mrs. Simron Ayer
Mrs. Simron Ayer's journey began with many challenges. She grew up in a humble family and faced financial difficulties, health problems, and long periods away from her immediate family. These experiences taught her the values of strength, perseverance, compassion, and hope. Education became the turning point in her life. With the support of scholarships and her determination to learn, she continued her education and discovered the power of knowledge to change lives. She began her career as a teacher, where she saw how education could build confidence and create new opportunities for children. Later, she became a nurse, caring for people during difficult times. These experiences deepened her belief that kindness, dignity, and service can bring meaningful change. Inspired by this vision, Mrs. Simron Ayer founded Drisya Empower Foundation to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow. The foundation supports children with visual impairments and children from underprivileged and socio-economically disadvantaged families through inclusive education, digital literacy, life skills, and community development programmes. Today, she continues to work with one simple belief: every child deserves equal opportunities, regardless of their background or ability. Through education, compassion, and service, lasting change is possible.
Mr. Ram Ayer
Mr. Ram Ayer lost his vision at a young age and had to begin a new and challenging journey in life. The years that should have been filled with childhood memories became a time of struggle, uncertainty, and learning to live independently. As a person with visual impairment, he experienced the discrimination, low expectations, and barriers that many visually impaired people face every day. Society often believed that people with visual impairment could not study, work, or live independently. Despite these challenges, he continued his education with determination and refused to give up. During his journey, he met many children and families facing similar difficulties. He realized that poverty, lack of awareness, and limited access to education were preventing many children with visual impairment and underprivileged backgrounds from achieving their dreams. These experiences inspired him to co-found Drisya Empower Foundation. Today, he works to create equal opportunities through inclusive education, residential care, digital learning, life skills, and community awareness. His vision is to build a society where every child, regardless of disability or financial background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and live with dignity and confidence.
