Drisya Family Inclusive Residential Home and Rehabilitation Centre
Drisya Empower Foundation established the Drisya Family Inclusive Residential Home and Rehabilitation Centre on January 1, 2026 to support children with visual impairment and underprivileged backgrounds. The residential home provides a safe and nurturing environment where children receive access to education, nutritious meals, care, life skills, and holistic development opportunities.
Currently, 15 children are benefiting from inclusive education and residential support through the Drisya Family initiative.
Awareness & Parent Education Program
Drisya Empower Foundation has been actively conducting awareness and parent education programs across rural areas of West Bengal. Through these initiatives, parents and communities are being informed about the importance of inclusive education, equal opportunities, and the future potential of children with visual impairment.
So far, more than 500 children and parents have directly benefited from these awareness programs and have become more informed and empowered regarding education and inclusion.
Computer & Digital Literacy Training
To promote digital inclusion and technological empowerment among visually impaired children and youth, Drisya Empower Foundation conducts both online and offline computer training programs.
The organization has successfully conducted more than 5 online training courses, and from April 2026, offline computer training programs have also been launched. These trainings focus on digital literacy, accessibility tools, and essential computer skills to help participants become more independent in education and employment opportunities.
More than 100 visually impaired individuals have directly benefited from these training initiatives.
Livelihood & Skill Development
Through livelihood and skill development initiatives, Drisya Empower Foundation is empowering youth and women from marginalized communities with vocational skills, digital literacy, confidence-building, and employment-oriented training. The organization promotes economic independence and social inclusion by providing practical learning opportunities, awareness programs, and capacity-building support.
