Case 1: Story of Rudra (A Journey from Loss to Hope)

Rudra is a bright and gentle 7-year-old boy who now calls Drisya Empower Foundation (Drisya Family) his home. He is currently living at our residential home, where he is surrounded by care, safety, and love.
Rudra’s life began with immense challenges. When he was just 6 months old, he lost his father. Tragically, after two more years, he also lost his mother. Left alone in this world at such a tender age, Rudra went to live with his uncle and aunt. However, life there was not kind to him. He often faced neglect and harsh treatment. With tears in his eyes, Rudra once shared with us,

“I don’t have parents. My uncle and aunt’s family treated me very badly.”

Turning Point in Rudra's Life!

When the Drisya Family met Rudra, we saw not just his pain—but also his potential. We saw a child who deserved love, dignity, education, and a chance to dream. With this belief, we decided to bring Rudra into our residential home so that he could have a safe environment, proper education, and a bright future.
Today, Rudra is studying in Standard 2 at Nabudi Primary School. He is a very intelligent and curious child who enjoys learning new things. Along with his regular studies, he is also learning basic computer skills, which excites him greatly. He loves playing games, laughing with his friends, and participating in daily activities at the residential home.
Most importantly, Rudra is now happy. He smiles more, speaks with confidence, and is slowly healing from the pain of his past. At Drisya Empower Foundation, Rudra is not an orphan—he is family. He is cared for, guided, and encouraged to believe in himself.
Rudra’s journey reminds us why we do what we do. With the right support, love, and opportunities, even the most vulnerable children can rise, learn, and shine. His story is a story of hope, resilience, and new beginnings.
